The present research work aimed to determine the relationship that exists between tourist awareness and the assessment that residents give to the colonial churches located in the historic center of Rímac, to achieve this objective a quantitative approach methodology of descriptive correlational type and non-experimental design applying as a technique to the survey with 2 questionnaires that served to measure both variables in a sample of 175 people of legal age who resided for more than 5 years around the churches and who have at least entered to them. The analysis of the hypothesis under the Spearman coefficient showed that there is a direct and significant relationship between tourist awareness and the valuation of colonial churches by residents of the historic center of Rímac, as well as observing that it is a population that recognizes the value of its religious cultural heritage, and that it is necessary to create a link between the community, businessmen and authorities that allow the development of activities that highlight the benefits of the conservation and preservation of cultural heritage, communicating the economic, social and environmental benefitsDownloads
